NFL Week #17

It's NFL Sunday Week Seventeen and the final games of the regular season are underway.  Today the fates of many teams will be decided.

The NFC East is still up for grabs and will be decided this evening when the Dallas Cowboys {8-7} visit the Washington Redskins {9-6}.  The Cowboys have an opportunity tonight to make the playoffs by defeating Washington.

The New York Giants have missed their chance to enter the post season.  If the Cowboys can defeat the Redskins, Falcons and Packers , in the post season, they will be headed for Super Bowl Sunday.  But, not to get ahead of ourselves, tonight's game is key.  Mike Shanahan has a winning record against the Cowboys.  Hopefully, Dallas Head Coach Jason Garrett will change that tonight.

NFL Week #16 of the 2012 Season

NFL Week #16
The New Orleans Saints visit the Dallas Cowboys.

OLB - Kyle Wilber
DT - Jay Ratliff

Head Coach Jason Garrett has lead the Cowboys to an 8 - 6 record and a three-way tie in the NFC Eastern Conference.  There playoff hopes are in their hands for the last two games of the NFL regular season.

The Cowboys have survived injuries and tragedies this season. It would be a moral victory if they manage to close out this season with a Super Bowl victory celebration.  The first step in that direction starts with a win against the Saints today.

Today, Jason Garrett will have to adopt a philosophy from Bill Parcell's playbook. As long as they run the ball, Drew Brees will remain on the sidelines. The Saints are averaging 27.8 points per game, while the Cowboys are only producing 23.4 PPG. Brees has thrown for 36 touchdowns this season. Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan has a huge job today. They will have to play their best football thus far.

I hope that Dallas is motivated for this game.
Yee Haa how bout them Cowgirls and boys!

The Cowboys Posse Rounds Up Steelers at Home

The Dallas Cowboys Defeat the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers 24 - 27.  Brandon Carr picked off Ben Roethlisberger in Overtime and ran it back, with the help of his posse, to the one yard line.  Dan Bailey came on to nail a twenty-one yard field goal for the win.

Tony Romo connected on 30 of 42 passes for 341 yards. DeMarco Murray ran on 14 carries for 81 yards. The Center, Guards and Tackles did an excellent job today protecting Romo.

What can I say about Anthony Spencer, DeMarcus Ware and Sean Lissmore; they were awesome today.

The Cowboys have now won three straight, making their record 8 - 6.  Dallas is now in an NFC East three way tie; with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins.

New Orleans and Washington are their only remaining games this season.

Yeeee Haaaa!  How bout them Cowboys!
